- Performances were improved. Indeed, the new version 6 is now using the version 2.1 of the Firebird database engine. Firebird 2.1 is faster that the previous version 1.5. So, OroTimesheet 6 is now faster.

- Performances of the web interface were improved. Web pages now display faster and require less bandwidth.

- Employees can now change their password through the web interface.

- In the web interface as well as in the weekly view of the Windows version, projects entered in the previous week are automatically displayed in the current week to speed up timesheet entry.

- New fields were added in different modules such as Projects, Employees, Activities, Timesheets.

- New fields shift, in time and out time (optional fields) were also added in the Timesheets module.

- It is now possible to enter time in hh:mm format. The entered time is automatically converted to decimal time. For example, 1:30 will be converted to 1.5.

- User defined fields can now be sorted on screen.

- Projects (including sub-projects) and employees can now be copied to speed up creation of new projects and new employees.

- It is now possible to copy only one timesheet at a time.

- Employees and activities can now be configured as non billable.

- A check box Affect costs is also now available in the employee record.

- The Update time banks option was completely redeveloped and is now more useful and easier to use. The time bank update can now be done by group of employees. It is also possible to indicate in projects or sub-projects that time entered for these projects must not be taken into account. It is also now possible to undo time bank updates.

- A description can now be entered when time bank of an employee is updated manually.

- There is now a default project manager in each project.

- Sub-projects can now be set as inactive.

- It is now possible to purge timesheets for a specific sub-project.

- Groups of employees were added in selection criteria of cost and billing rules.

- It is now possible to enter expenses in the local version of OroTimesheet. User defined fields of the Timesheets module are also now available in the local version.

- A new program named Timer for OroTimesheet is now included, This program installs itself in the Windows system tray and allows to time spent time on projects and activities. Then, this time can be converted into timesheets.

- Several improvements were added in the Punch clock for OroTimesheet software.

- The punch clock software can now be used with a bar code reader.

- The option to convert punch clock transactions into timesheets was completely redeveloped and is now more useful and easier to use.

- Punch clock transactions are now kept into the database even once converted into timesheets. This is useful for printing punch clock transaction history. Transactions can also be purged later if needed.

- More reports are included with OroTimesheet and are still all customizable using the powerful reports generator also included with OroTimesheet. The reports generator was also improved. New RAP functions were added.

- Reports criteria can now be saved and used later if needed. This is very useful for users that always run some specific reports with same criteria.

- The zoom size of the report print preview is now kept in registries.

- When customizing reports, it is now possible to manually modify the link type between tables in SQL queries.

- A new Backup option is now available directly via the Tools menu. This option allows you to make a backup copy of the database with a simple mouse click.

- A new utility named Database utility is now included and allows to backup or restore the database more easily than using the Firebird GBAK utility.

- From now, only an employee having administrator rights can update a database when installing updates of OroTimesheet.

- A data transfer utility that allows you to transfer your data from OroTimesheet 5 to OroTimesheet 6 with a simple mouse click is included. A data transfer utility from OroTimesheet 4 to OroTimesheet 6 is also included.

- You can now rent licenses instead of buying it. This is particularly useful for organizations that must manage an annual budget for user licenses.

- Several other minor improvements are also included in the new version 6.
