If needed, you can manage costs and billing using OroTimesheet since each
timesheet
can contain this information. Due to OroTimesheet's flexibility , cost and billing calculation for
each timesheet can be very simple or very specific depending on your needs.
When entering timesheets, the cost per
time unit
is automatically entered when an
employee
is selected in the timesheet. By default, the cost per time unit is kept in the record of each employee. However,
cost rules
can be defined according to your criteria to match your specific needs. For example, an employee
can usually have a cost per time unit of $25, but when this employee performs a specific
activity,
the cost per time unit can become $30.
The billing rate is also automatically entered when an activity is selected in a timesheet. A default
billing rate can be kept for each activity but this default billing rate can be overwritten when an
activity is linked to a
project.
A default billing rate can also be kept for each employee.
Also,
billing rules
can be defined according to your criteria to match your specific needs. For example, an activity can
usually be billed $50 per time unit but when it is linked to a specific project, the billing rate can
become $60 per time unit.
