OroTimesheet 5 > Security

Complete and very flexible, security can be enabled in OroTimesheet if needed. Two kinds of rights are available in OroTimesheet: access rights and supervision rights. Rights can be granted by employee or by group, depending on your needs.

Access rights are rights used to get access to different options of the software such as customer management, project management, activity management, etc. Supervision rights are rights an employee can have on other employees. For example, using supervision rights, an employee can only have access to his own timesheets while another one, such as a supervisor can have access to timesheets of several employees or groups.

Also, using supervision rights, you can hide or restrict parts of timesheets. For example, an employee could have rights to enter his timesheets but could not be able to see and/or modify billing information.

Another benefit unique to OroTimesheet is that most of reports automatically adjust themselves according to the supervision rights of each employee. For example, if an employee has supervision rights only for his own timesheets, he will not be able to see the information of other employees when printing reports. However, a supervisor with supervision rights for several employees will be able to see all information for the employees or groups he supervises when printing the same reports.

If you activate the security, OroTimesheet will ask you for a valid employee code and password to access the software.
